Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again I ended up returning it for a variety of reasons.https://www.formuladesign.com/images/boss-ad-8-manual-download.pdf My experience: I mostly play 12-string guitars, and occasionally nylon string guitars. With the 12 string, I mostly used body type 1 which simulates a Martin D-28. I found that all of the other body types made my tone very dark. I didn't find much value in using the nylon string guitar body (body type 6) when I was playing fingerstyle. So at the end of the day, I really was using the AD-8 as a very expensive 4 band EQ, which is why I returned it to get another DI box. Amazing product. Solidly built. The reverb isn't WOW like a Reverb pedal that you could buy, but it gives a simple nice natural reverb effect. Other then that it is perfect. They are both excellent pre-amps for acoustic guitar. The Acoustic Resonance feature is designed to replace some of the frequencies lost with a dry piezo pickup and although this Boss AD-10 does not produce as finely detailed and complex a sound as the Fishman Aura, it is still extremely usable. It is also a LOT quicker to dial in a satisfactory sound. The ability to save different setups as With the exception of the rather crummy reverb (one star removed), there is little to fault with this feature packed unit. Send report Total handling features sound quality Boss Ad 10 Rugodix, 13.02.2018 The new AD 10 comes with new features comparing with the old AD 8: a CHORUS, a DELAY and COMPRESSOR! (they can be used simultaneously). Besides, the Body Resonance is very effective in restoring the soul of a piezzo equipped guitar. The device is very powerful: 10 memories, 2 inputs for 2 sources (2 guitars, for instance), witch can be set individually (sensitivity, EQ). Add the possibility of sending to FOH a wet or dry signal, a USB output, the good sound, notch control, noise gate, tuner, even a basic looper, and you have a winner of the moment. On top of that, ambience, chorus, and delay effects are built in, eliminating the need to carry external sound processing. Its vast tone-shaping features and intuitive, hands-on controls enable anyone to dial in exceptional sounds quickly and easily. Advanced feedback-fighting capabilities are also on board, making it simple to tackle the sound issues that inevitably come up in different performance venues. And with 10 onboard memories, it’s possible to save favorite setups for different instruments and songs. The AD-10 also supports power via an included AC adapter or batteries, offering great flexibility for any performing situation. With the AD-10’s looper, you have a convenient tool that’s always at the ready for practice, jamming, and stage creativity. The on-demand boost function is great for kicking up the volume for solos or reducing the volume for heavy strumming, and it even includes an adjustable tone control for changing the sound when engaged. The single-knob compressor delivers much more than meets the eye, employing BOSS’s acclaimed MDP tech to transparently control your dynamics with intelligent processing. Acoustic guitars love reverb, and the AD-10’s Ambience effect offers three types of high-quality reverberation specially tuned for guitar.http://www.naturapreserved.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c7da9b1dc0---canon-pro-90-is-manual.pdf There’s also a delay with standard, mod, and reverse types, plus three different variations of BOSS’s famous sound-widening stereo chorus effect. From the AD-10’s panel, you can choose to send signals to the outputs with or without effects, or assign input channels one and two to independent outputs. There’s also an effects loop for patching in external effects, and a jack for connecting up to two footswitches or an expression pedal for controlling looper functions, volume, tap tempo, anti-feedback scan, and more. However, their noted drawback is a hard, sterile, and “quacky” sound because they only pick up sound from the bridge area, leaving out the body and string resonances that complete the guitar’s rich, complex sound. Magnetic sound hole pickups and other types of systems also provide incomplete sound reproduction, and playing directly into a microphone is impractical in all but the most controlled stage environments. That’s where the AD-10’s innovative Acoustic Resonance feature comes in. Using sophisticated BOSS technology, Acoustic Resonance analyzes your pickup signal and recreates the missing body and string resonances, restoring the elements that are essential for natural acoustic sound. The AD-10’s Acoustic Resonance implementation offers powerful processing, three different resonance types, and the ability to balance the tonal characteristics to perfectly match your performing needs.Your first line of defense is the AD-10’s feedback reduction function, which employs newly developed BOSS technology to seek out and gently suppress the offending feedback frequency. At the same time, your overall tone is subtly balanced as needed for transparent sonic results. For those real problem situations, the AD-10 also includes two separate notch filters that can be tuned manually or set for automatic scanning to instantly vanquish feedback in the background as you play.https://inclinedigital.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c7db19e5a8---canon-pro-9000-manual-pdf.pdf Each filter notches out both the fundamental and first overtone of the feedback frequency, and the depth of the filters can be adjusted as necessary for the smallest possible tonal impact. The signal path is engineered for warm, accurate tone with ultra-low noise, and each input has adjustable sensitivity for fully optimized processing with different pickup types. Each channel can be adjusted with an EQ section that offers four bands (including parametric midrange) and a widely variable low-cut filter. Unlike standard EQs found in other preamps, adjusting the AD-10’s EQ bands engages multiple interlocking parameters under the hood, allowing for precise tonal shaping with subtle tweaks. It’s also possible to defeat the EQ if desired, and to adjust the phase of each channel independently. The AD-10 is your solution to this age-old problem, offering advanced sound tools that enable you to achieve rich, natural acoustic tones every time you perform. On top of that, ambience, chorus, and delay effects are built in, eliminating the need to carry external sound processing.Click here to make a request to customer service.Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings based on a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. Scott Hodges 5.0 out of 5 stars Been using a Fishman ToneDEQ in the studio and gigging. It sounds good but is lacking in not having a tuner, mute, either delay or reverb not both, lackluster chorus, no feedback control just a phase switch, no memory slots, not stereo. The AD-10 has all of the above and more. Out of the box just in manual mode was able to dial a very good sound. Couple of hours learning the interface and the SUB-PARAMETER settings and playing around with them and MAN. This thing is nice, really nice.scoutski.com/assets/uploads/editor/files/87-rx7-service-manual.pdf I've read a review where the reviewer said everything was subtle or wish they could set how many repeats in the delays. READ THE MANUAL, you've got to go to the sub settings. Someone complained about noise, well the IS a noise reduction circuit go to ADVANCED SETTINGS. Mine is dead quiet with the levels set 12 o'clock on everything going into a very nice Yamaha analog mixer with the same levels as I had with the Fishman. I only gig with one guitar as i do 80 electric but if you do an acoustic thing with two guitars this will handle both independently. I switch back and forth and have to tell him to mute me on the board when I set it down so I don't change my level and I don't want it plugged in eating batteries just sitting there. OH there is a misprint in the printed manual that came with mine that I was trying to make heads or tails about. To switch from manual mode to memory mode it says press and hold the Boost and Delay pedal buttons, repeat to switch back. When in memory mode those buttons scroll up in down. Then it says to go from into stomp box memory mode mode, so that Boost and Delay buttons now do that instead of scroll the memory locations, it says press and hold the buttons. HUH that don't work. I check an online version online and sure enough the misprint is to gone online. To toggle manual to memory you only PRESS the two buttons not press and hold them. So I tossed the included manual and just download the online to my tablet. Will be gigging it in a few weeks will updateBottom line: the AD-10 fits the bill and then some, just be prepared to study the manual and spend some time with the unit. The two guitars I am using with the unit are a Gibson J-185 reissue with a Fishman undersaddle piezo pickup with a Fishman endpin jack preamp, providing a very hot signal. The archtop is a very lively guitar that is bottom heavy with the pickup and has a big resonance at about 230Hz, so it requires some notch filtering to bring it under control. I was pretty happy with the sound of the Gibson, but the archtop sound needed some more extensive tone shaping. The AD-10 allows me to plug both guitars into one unit and has the flexibility to accommodate the vastly differing signal levels and EQ requirements of these two guitars. In fact, after a lot of time spend tweaking the EQ and notch filter parameters (there are two notch filters), my Eastman archtop has never sounded better. The sound of the piezo pickup on the archtop isn’t bad, but with the Acoustic Resonance function on the AD-10 up about halfway on the Natural setting, the sound is transformed to a much more natural woody acoustic archtop sound, exactly what I was looking for. I’m sure it would work equally well for magnetic or microphone pickups. Input switching can be controlled with one of the existing stomp switches or an external footswitch (recommended). I started using the unit in this manner, using an external footswitch to switch between guitars, but the problem with this setup is that there is only one setting available per patch for the notch filters. My two guitars have very different resonances, and while I use both for the archtop, I only require one notch for the Gibson flattop. To work around this, I set up separate patches for each guitar. Finally figured it out, but I was worried for a while, thinking about having to do a factory reset to get the functionality back. Also no provision to mute the guitars individually in this mode. This is super-lame. BOSS, please provide a firmware update. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my decision to purchase the AD-10. I’ve only used it on one gig so far, but it’s a huge improvement on my previous setup. I highly recommend this box for anyone using two guitars, a single guitar with two pickups, and especially for anyone trying to get a natural acoustic sound with a piezo-equipped archtop guitar. My Eastman has never sounded better. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the user interface.I play in an acoustic trio and have been using two different guitars. Having the option of plugging two instruments in with independent EQ was the thing that made me give this a shot. This pedal has pretty much everything I could want. The EQ controls are just about right for finding the sweetness of a wooden instrument and the resonance control is a subtle but effective enhancement. Delay, reverb and chorus are all the effects I want or need. The looper is nice, but as a one button item, I only use it for practice. The optional second footswitch might be a future purchase to make the looper easier to use live. The adjustable boost is the icing on the cake. I play in an acoustic trio with another guitarist and being able to add just a touch of gain for solos without coloring the tone at all is really nice. Bottom line, I have one pedal that does everything I need. Total win. As for the tone, plenty of options but it took me several weeks to dial in a tone I was satisfied with in the context of other instruments. The presets are nice when you are playing solo, but I have to consider what works live with other instruments, what works with PA speakers, etc. Happy with it now - and both my Yamaha and Martin can work together without having to use two different channels. I have all the options available for either guitar and can get them both to a similar level and overall balance of highs, mids and lows so they don't sound like opposite extremes in tone. Small footprint, versatile, built to last. My only quibble is that it does seem to compress the signal just a tad. I play with a lot of dynamics, so that is not a plus, but it is not significant enough to be a deal breaker. I'm learning how to deal with that.Construccio robusta y disposicion bastante intuitiva. El sonido es muy bueno y se puede lograr un tono bastante natural. El antifeedback apenas he necesitado usarlo. Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Dieser Stecker passt in keine deutsch Steckdose.
