It has knobs for level, body, tone and has a four way rotary switch for different modes that you can choose from: standard, enhance, jumbo, and piezo. UTILIZATION Boss pedals are always built like tanks. I've seen these pedals go through hell and back, and they always seem to be able to survive. One cool thing about these pedals is that they're FET based, so if you are running a long chain of cable, this can help boost the signal. On the other hand, they kinda suck a little bit of tone, although some are worse than others. The manual for Boss pedals is always very clearly laid out, and they give different example tone settings that you can mess around with. I find that the pedals tend to be so easy to use that you don't even need to read the manual, but for those who want to know every little thing about the pedal, it's there for you. SOUND QUALITY The sound is where this kind of falls short. The pedal doesn't really turn the guitar into a convincing acoustic sound. About the only thing that'll truly make a guitar sound like an acoustic would be piezo equipped saddles, but those are pretty invasive if the guitar didn't already come installed with them. The pedal has four different modes you an choose from, and while they do sound a bit different from each other, I never found myself really caring which mode it was on.https://skazkina.com/ru/3rv1021-4ba10-manual I normally just stuck it on the piezo mode and went from there. I was able to get a pretty cool sitar-like effect out of this, but it didn't have the sustain I was looking for. OVERALL OPINION The pedals are interesting, but if you're looking to turn your electric into an acoustic, look elsewhere. If you're looking to experiment with a different type of clean sound you normally wouldn't be able to get, this could be the pedal you're looking for. These go pretty cheap on the used market, so it's not a big deal to buy one just to mess with it. Did you find this review helpful? yes no. Then I heard Slash from Velvet Revolver and Guns N Roses use one live in some gig I saw on tv. To my pleasant surprise it actually sounded pretty good. He was playing a Gibson Les Paul and those guitars can be very girthy and robust on tone and to get a guitar like that to sound like a wood hollow body it a big feat of strength. BODY: center, Top:center) Recommended AC Adaptor: PSA Series SOUND QUALITY This pedal does work and works very well. Let me be very clear, it will not replace the tone of a real acoustic guitar no matter how trashy a cheap acoustic guitar sounds. If you have a cheap acoustic guitar, that guitar will sound better and more natural than an electric guitar using this pedal. However, this is great for a gigging musician that has an acoustic part in a sound and needs to switch quickly to an electric part of a song. The tone of this pedal is decent for the playing who doesn't want to carry an acoustic guitar to a gig and only use it for minimal parts. You can just bring this pedal and your favorite electric guitar and have that acoustic sound quickly and easily for live uses. OVERALL OPINION I would not recommend this pedal as a replacement for an acoustic guitar in a recording session. This pedal will not get the hollow tone or organic feeling of a real acoustic guitar.https://www.fixemer.com/images/boss-ac-2-owners-manual.pdf These pedals have now been replaced with the AC-3 which is a little bit better because it has reverb in the pedal and that is the only difference. Did you find this review helpful? yes no. Plenty off controls for tweaking sound.Build like a tank! BOSS (enough said.) while not a replacement for a true acoustic guitar, it works quite well for doing acoustic songs live without the need to bring and swap guitars in the middle of a set. This review was originally published on Did you find this review helpful? yes no. There is a pretty vast array of tonal options, and the construction is typical Boss -- rugged, compact and durable. Forget about getting acoustic sounds out of this pedal. You won't even come close, even with single-coil pickups. I just haven't found one that I can use on a recording yet. To be fair, this pedal was designed for live work, which I don't do very much -- still, when I do play live, I'd rather play acoustic-electric guitars so I can get the tone I want. Very good. This pedal and I are a mismatch. I haven't found any occasion where I need to use it yet. I've done some interesting experiments by mixing this pedal with distorted electric tones, but overall I'd say this pedal is not useful for me. Still, for good construction and an admirable effort to bridge the acoustic-electric gap, I give it a 3. This review was originally published on Did you find this review helpful? yes no. UTILIZATION Pretty easy to find a sound even if no one is ever completely satisfied. SOUND QUALITY Of course, we do not have the sound of a Martin acoustic but I think the sounds are interesting, halfway between the acoustic and the phaser. She can not carry an electric guitar to play in a bar, for example. I mostly use it with a telecaster and a mesa boogie. OVERALL OPINION I am alone in this but apparently my pedal has a relatively low level of output, even with the volume up, it loses power.http://erkerlaender.de/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c7cb713c21---commodore-1571-service-manual.pdf It's really annoying because it takes down the guitar volume in anticipation of its use and, suddenly, the sound loses. I'll try a little boost. If someone has an idea. 1 people found this review helpful Did you find this review helpful? yes no. Jim uses the roots of slipknot on the acoustic dead memories to realize the possible use. I've rarely used because of past Variax pod xt live with al time. But it really is a great pedal rack. The sounds are very realistic with different body types. Not to be missed for those who prefer to multi effects pedal. UTILIZATION Nothing to say very very simple. It is not intended to replace an acoustic sound but it can not change the acoustic guitar. Anyone who wants a real acoustic the purchase or it must orient Variax s. (Variax Acoustic is widely used: Metallica, Machine head. But this is not the same budget. OVERALL OPINION Tried anything else, bought directly! 3 of 3 people found this review helpful Did you find this review helpful? yes no. Pedal unique. sounds interesting obtained The -. It connects a guitar and it should sound like a good old folk. All settings become obsolete. SOUND QUALITY As said above: no respect for the personality of the guitar. Finally, as is supposed to simulate a different type of acoustic resonance, it is rather normal. Indeed, the sounds that come out 'evoke' the sounds of acoustic guitar. But I'm really not at all convinced. You lose with this pedal, all the versatility, personality, grain and subtle playing a guitar. As said, it evokes the sound, but it will never allow to replace. It's a gadget. So maybe with the chorus and delay another one can come up with something fun. Otherwise, no thank you, no way. 1 people found this review helpful Did you find this review helpful? yes no. Hsiter not refer to the manual, can cel stepfather trivial, but in any case, BOSS, manuals indicate the order of rglage potentiomtres, which can sometimes save your life, or less time consuming.anxuetang.com/upload/files/community-of-christ-priesthood-manual.pdf SOUND QUALITY I got this effect is rather subtle, I do not think I would call acoustic simulator, and test for some of the guitars he prtend simulate, I think there was any way of do better. I'm a fan of BOSS, in part to the strong and the capacity of their SETTING THE pedals (and design, but cell is my business). This lack of pedals this wonderful acoustic dynamics, which is irreplaceable. Any concession of the same, I have tried this on guitar pedals with a very bad quality. Can be with the good stuff. OVERALL OPINION I have the pedals for 5 or 6 years now, and I never find russian as extraordinary as the other bosses I have. Who knows, one day I can be the repeat well in hand, and I find the right one for rglages its really INTERESTED. Derived from BOSS top-of-the-line AD-8, the AC-3 simulates the sound of an acoustic guitar with incredible precision. Previous compact acoustic-guitar modeling-pedals were promising, but now the bar has been raised with AC-3.Amazon calculates a product's star ratings based on a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. Suresh 3.annassteen.com/ckfinder/userfiles/files/community-mobilization-training-manual.pdf0 out of 5 stars It is not working with my Orange amp and Ibanez metal series guitar. I get only clean sound. I am unable to get even a little bit of acoustic sound from it. Settings are too complicated. May be it will work for other guitars and amps. If you have an Ibanez metal series think twice before you buy it. However I had seen numerous reviews on the YouTube where I heard good acoustic sound from this pedal. So if your guitar is hardcore metal type don't expect this pedal to work for you. Amazon service is good. The seller is very good. He was the first seller who did not take away the original alkaline battery and send a cheap one. All others did, when I bought other pedals.Received the pedal box packed but to my surprise both the pedals were faulty. I was wondering this has happened with anybody else before. I hope they send me a working one on the replacement.Works better woth single coil guitars and sounds pretty nice using a piezo pickup. It is a bit temperamental to find a nice tone and although it simulates different types of acoustic guitars for the most part it doesn't sound too great unless you dial it into a sweet spot. The reverb feature was slightly diminished due to the fact this pedal creates a very little buzz which cuts into the mix when ringing out a sustained note and the only way for me to stop it was by using a noise gate which dampens the reverb setting a little (it's not that bad in all fairness). This pedal also has a line out (to PA) aswell as a guitar out (to amp) output which is handy to match impedence and to also hook up to an amp and a mixer to record. I use this pedal with a spliter to blend two tones together so having the ability to plug it into my mixer and a 2nd amp gives you the use of a stereo sound if you chuck a few other effects in front. Nice solid boss pedal, some really nice tones. I'd recommend trying out some different types of acoustic simulators if you have humbuckers or p90's!Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again I tried it in loads of different situations - straight to desk, via preamps, through an acoustic amp - IT'S AWFUL. AWFUL! At best, it sounds like a telecaster with the treble on full played with the hardest plectrum you can find. Fortunately, Amazon's return policy rocks, even if this lump of junk doesn't!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again It has to be said that what you're going to get is the sound of an 'amplified' acoustic guitar - but that would be about the best you could expect since you will obviously be going through an amplifier. You won't sound like an un-amplified Martin, Gibson, Taylor, whatever but then they all sound different amplified too. I have not encountered any extraneous noises; it's very clean. Even when I use a proper acoustic through an amp I tend to add a little corouration: chorus, echo, etc, so I'm happy with the signal it sends to the amp. It's early days playing with it yet but thus far I'm very happy with my purchase. I've been wondering if the next step isn't to invest in a Boss AD-8 Acoustic Guitar Processor.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again One song actually needs an acoustic guitar in the verses and an over driven electric tone in the chorus. This pedal allows you to get an an acoustic sound while still playing an electric guitar. For most 'purity', it has two outputs - one for the normal guitar amp and a second which can route straight to the PA or to an acoustic amplifier, for the acoustic setting. If only the guitar amp output is connected, the pedal will change the tone but you would still be going through an 'electric' amp - the second output allows a completely separate amplifier chain to be switched in. Pedal has 4 settings for different acoustic types of guitar as well as reverb, pre-amp level (so you can balance the volume) and 'body' and 'top' controls for tone. All in all it does the job very well.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again You have been warned.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Sono estremamente soddisfatto di questo acquisto e lo sto usando molto con le regolazioni che preferisco.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again By chance I tried a similar product from Beringer (AC400) - and bingo. That's almost perfectly the sound I was looking for. Once found the type of product, I tried all the similar ones I could find, i.e. the Mooer Akoustikar (which I found very unsatisfactory for my purpose) and this, the Boss AC-3, which was by far my favorite. Some more details about my setup. I tried both using headphones and using an electric bass amplifier. The AC-3 gives good results with both, and by tweaking a bit it's possible to fine a setup that sounds good either way. This gives a warm, resonant sound, which goes near the sound of a real acoustic cello. Please keep in mind, it will NOT sound exactly like an acoustic; anyway, the sound is pleasant. That's the reason why I'm giving it only 4 stars.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Sorry, we failed to record your vote. I have never got a decent sound from this with Humbuckers. (2) The guitar needs to have a bright sound. If you have to add too much 'top' with the pedal it creates hiss.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again.
