For example, an amp I use for DJ'ing is rated at 350 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 500 watts into 4 (it actually has a rating into 2 ohms as well). BTW, the speakers will operate at different ohm levels at different frequency levels, so the speakers won't even really be operating at 4 ohms, assuming the 4 ohm rating is accurate. (These ratings are often inaccurate.) Also working in your favor is the fact that your rear speakers really won't have to play very loudly--mostly rear speakers are for subtle effects. My OEM charger is exactly similar except that it's output is 17v and the item on Amazon is 20v. Not a problem, since the Bose can take between 17-20. Other than that, the cord is about 50 longer than the OEM (nothing wrong with that!) and it has a circuit in the middle (nice!).
