Let’s see, the KM-60 uses Hitachi HA-1457 low noise preamps. These are quite clean actually. The space echo RE-201 doesn’t even use ICs for preamps and it’s just an array of transistors, a much more primitive design but also noisier and a tad more lo-fi. The first of the space echo series featuring an IC preamp was the RE-301 (which is highly appreciated for these) so it must be the same as the KM-60 right. Wrong again.
