The guy had to literally bring in the audio crew and check out how good this TINY sub actually sounded. The adjustable knobs to accentuate the sound definitely help out, so make sure you do listen to some of your favorite stuff and adjust until satisfied.Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2012 Edit: it seems that the 8 gauge amp installation kit was the culprit, not the system itself.However, in the past I've usually been pretty lucky. I got it installed in my 1975 MGB convertible, and let me tell you, this thing sounded incredible. I was so pleased to have such good sound in my tiny car, even with the top down. I drove around with it for a day with a smile on my face. The next day I drove to work, again happy as can be, but noticed that the sound wasn't so great on the way home. I got home and looked and had that red light come on during start up. Seems the amp went into protection mode. Since the car was all set up to accept the amp, including drilling holes in my classic car, I went ahead and ordered a third one. Well, tonight while checking my email, seems Amazon is concerned I will receive another defective unit and is just going to refund my money. They did however send me a list of other vendors who offer it.I did absolutely love the sound it produced - after a little tweaking. So, believe it or not, I so wanted to give another one a chance. Only special tool required is to make a hole in the firewall for the power cable if you cannot find a spare and a big soldering iron for the terminals if you're not satisfied with the crimp. So for the price I paid and about 25.00 on wires and fuses etc., this is a great buy and would still be even if you had to pay up to 120.00 for it. The factory sub is under console up by the dash.
