I selected it because of the large display screen for use with a back up camera and I liked the other features. I purchased the radio through Amazon.com December 28, 2012. I opened the box and started to install the radio October 19, 2013 (I am in the military in the communications electronic maintenance field for 33 years). I soldered the wiring harness from the radio and the connector interface together using heat shrink on each wire. After plugging all connectors together and temporarily mounting the radio in the dash, I powered up the radio to test the functions of the radio. The touch screen worked better than expected. I put in a music CD to test the CD drive. The CD played as expected. At this point I stop because I had not yet purchased the antenna adapter. I purchased the antenna the next day. When I tried to eject the CD the open button didn't work then I tried the rest of the buttons and they didn't work. I tried the touch screen and the touch screen wouldn't work with my finger or the stylus. I looked through the book that came with the radio but didn't see any reference to a screen lock function. Does the BOSS BV8962 have a front panel lock function similar to a cell phone to prevent passengers (kids) from fiddling with the radio. The only thing on the front panel that will respond is the Source button. I was able to get into the touch screen calibration function, but the screen would not respond to the stylus. I continued to install the backup camera on the truck. I also tried playing music off the SD card. I formatted the SD 2GB card FAT32 and loaded mp3 files. I had no success in playing anything off the SD card. I haven't even seen the radio with the dash put together, yet. At this time I am waiting on a response from BOSS AUDIO. Please try again later. I installed a second on in my 2008 Sedona mini van, it worked for one day and the motorized arm for the LCD stopped functioning all together. Also, it does not fit flush in the van as well.
