You might find this desirable when setting up the effects chain, which we’ll discuss coming up. As a general rule of thumb, you’ll want to use wahs, compressors, overdrives, distortions, and boosters in front of the amp, and reverb after the preamp. With mod and delay effects, it depends—you might want to use them in either location, depending on the sound you’re after. Three different chains are available, as shown in the following image: Each effect type has a full set of parameters to adjust, similar to what’s available in the GT-100, BOSS’s flagship multi-effects unit. This can be helpful to tame background noise with high-gain sounds. It can only be adjusted with BOSS Tone Studio; there are no controls available from the amp’s panel. My friends were easily impressed by the sound and the cool look the way it lights up especially at night. I went expensive on an Apple Car play receiver and Boss really helped me out by giving me an affordable option to continue to add to my expensive receiver at a very affordable price. The Phantom 3700 gives you plenty of options to achieve your goals and a great option for people with limited resources. Keep in mind when you're costing Ampliphiers out, the hardware such as wires cables conectors ect: can get very costly ontop of your equipment. I spent almost as much on hardware as I did on the Amp. Then the reason I had to return the product at the end of the day was that my audio would randomly shut off on long drives, and then resetting the headunit during the drive brought the sound back, but it shut off pretty quickly. I assumed it might be overheating and I believe I was right. I returned the product and purchased a Pioneer 5Channel and haven't had a single issue with the Pioneer so far, so clearly the Boss Amp was having issues. This program allows you to select which 15 effects you want to load onto your amplifier and edit each effect to your exact specifications. You can even select which order you want your pedals to appear within the effects chain via the Boss Tone Studio for when you really care about your tone. You have access to a massive range of distortion, delay and reverb effects as well as a huge array of powerful tone shapers like pitch shifting, ring mod and even new editions of SDE-3000 delay, Phaser 90E, and Flanger 117E effects. Thanks to the MKII upgrade you also have a range of of new effects in Poly-Octave and Pedal Bend (whammy). This makes it a LOT easier than carrying around a pedalboard for sure.We don’t always want the same amp settings throughout an entire set, nor do we want to have to change the settings by hand should we want to make some tweaks for a song. With that in mind, the team at BOSS have created the Tone Settings feature which gives you the ability to store your favourite amp channel and effects setups for instant recall. When using Bose loudspeakers, factory presets allow for fast, precise recall of band pass, parametric EQ and limiter settings. Ask a question I kept the oe stereo so I hooked up the amp with the speaker level inputs. Everything worked fine for a couple of months. I fold down the rear seats so it can get cooled if it gets hot. Now I noticed no bass coming from the trunk so I saw that as soon as I turn stereo on, the amp goes into protection mode. I rechecked my power, ground, and remote wires and they are ok.
