boss ac 3 owners manualBefore using this unit, carefully read the sections entitled: “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” and “IMPORTANT NOTES” (separate sheet). These sections provide important information con- cerning the proper operation of the unit. COSM analyzes the many factors that make up the original sound, such as the electrical and physical characteristics of the original, and then produces a digital model that can reproduce the same sound. Derived from BOSS top-of-the-line AD-8, the AC-3 simulates the sound of an acoustic guitar with incredible precision. Previous compact acoustic-guitar modeling-pedals were promising, but now the bar has been raised with AC-3.Amazon calculates a product's star ratings based on a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. Suresh 3.0 out of 5 stars It is not working with my Orange amp and Ibanez metal series guitar. I get only clean sound. I am unable to get even a little bit of acoustic sound from it. Settings are too complicated. May be it will work for other guitars and amps. If you have an Ibanez metal series think twice before you buy it. However I had seen numerous reviews on the YouTube where I heard good acoustic sound from this pedal.http://XN--90ACFOKXBBABOF0H.XN--P1AI/files/bose_b1500_manual.xml So if your guitar is hardcore metal type don't expect this pedal to work for you. Amazon service is good. The seller is very good. He was the first seller who did not take away the original alkaline battery and send a cheap one. All others did, when I bought other pedals.Received the pedal box packed but to my surprise both the pedals were faulty. I was wondering this has happened with anybody else before. I hope they send me a working one on the replacement.Works better woth single coil guitars and sounds pretty nice using a piezo pickup. It is a bit temperamental to find a nice tone and although it simulates different types of acoustic guitars for the most part it doesn't sound too great unless you dial it into a sweet spot. The reverb feature was slightly diminished due to the fact this pedal creates a very little buzz which cuts into the mix when ringing out a sustained note and the only way for me to stop it was by using a noise gate which dampens the reverb setting a little (it's not that bad in all fairness). This pedal also has a line out (to PA) aswell as a guitar out (to amp) output which is handy to match impedence and to also hook up to an amp and a mixer to record. I use this pedal with a spliter to blend two tones together so having the ability to plug it into my mixer and a 2nd amp gives you the use of a stereo sound if you chuck a few other effects in front. Nice solid boss pedal, some really nice tones. I'd recommend trying out some different types of acoustic simulators if you have humbuckers or p90's!Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again I tried it in loads of different situations - straight to desk, via preamps, through an acoustic amp - IT'S AWFUL. AWFUL! At best, it sounds like a telecaster with the treble on full played with the hardest plectrum you can find. Fortunately, Amazon's return policy rocks, even if this lump of junk doesn't!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!Sorry, we failed to record your vote.http://www.raumboerse-luzern.ch/mieten/3rw44-manual Please try again It has to be said that what you're going to get is the sound of an 'amplified' acoustic guitar - but that would be about the best you could expect since you will obviously be going through an amplifier. You won't sound like an un-amplified Martin, Gibson, Taylor, whatever but then they all sound different amplified too. I have not encountered any extraneous noises; it's very clean. Even when I use a proper acoustic through an amp I tend to add a little corouration: chorus, echo, etc, so I'm happy with the signal it sends to the amp. It's early days playing with it yet but thus far I'm very happy with my purchase. I've been wondering if the next step isn't to invest in a Boss AD-8 Acoustic Guitar Processor.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again One song actually needs an acoustic guitar in the verses and an over driven electric tone in the chorus. This pedal allows you to get an an acoustic sound while still playing an electric guitar. For most 'purity', it has two outputs - one for the normal guitar amp and a second which can route straight to the PA or to an acoustic amplifier, for the acoustic setting. If only the guitar amp output is connected, the pedal will change the tone but you would still be going through an 'electric' amp - the second output allows a completely separate amplifier chain to be switched in. Pedal has 4 settings for different acoustic types of guitar as well as reverb, pre-amp level (so you can balance the volume) and 'body' and 'top' controls for tone. All in all it does the job very well.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again You have been warned.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again By chance I tried a similar product from Beringer (AC400) - and bingo. That's almost perfectly the sound I was looking for. Once found the type of product, I tried all the similar ones I could find, i.e. the Mooer Akoustikar (which I found very unsatisfactory for my purpose) and this, the Boss AC-3, which was by far my favorite. Some more details about my setup. I tried both using headphones and using an electric bass amplifier. The AC-3 gives good results with both, and by tweaking a bit it's possible to fine a setup that sounds good either way. This gives a warm, resonant sound, which goes near the sound of a real acoustic cello. Please keep in mind, it will NOT sound exactly like an acoustic; anyway, the sound is pleasant. That's the reason why I'm giving it only 4 stars.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again I am using this with the proper Boss power supply. Warnings: (1) You need a guitar with a single coil pickup. I have never got a decent sound from this with Humbuckers. (2) The guitar needs to have a bright sound. If you have to add too much 'top' with the pedal it creates hiss.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again. My band started playing a few songs that really needed an acoustic guitar, but swapping guitars in the middle of a set was getting to be a hassle (as well as lugging yet one more guitar in my car). I decided to give this a shot. The first time I used it during rehearsal, my band mates had a look of confusion as they tried to figure out where the acoustic guitar sounds were coming from. Would I use this for recording. Certainly not, but at a gig, nobody in the audience will be able to tell the difference. I've heard that the previous model to the AC3 was not quite as good. I have to say the way the sound transforms is amazing and I love the Jumbo and Standard settings. However there is a constant hum in the background that doesn't go away unless u lower the Top knob and when hitting the last string hard or put some strength on chords a horrible hiss is accompanied with the sound. I am quite disappointed as I was really excited about this pedal. Please try again later. RRinaudo 5.0 out of 5 stars If only I practiced as much as I spend time looking at gear. PRS Guy 5.cgalgeria-dubai.com/userfiles/files/87-manual.pdf0 out of 5 stars I believe the AC-3 provides the best acoustic results with the greatest flexibility on dialing in a nice acoustic tone. Saves me from dragging out my Taylor to provide appropriate acoustic guitar tone. Nice! I find adding more acoustic into our live mix adds a new presence and the Boss AC-3 delivers what it promises. Alto Music's exceptional turnaround and delivery got it to me to make my gig. Bravo! Please try again later. Please try again later. TLA 4.0 out of 5 stars The 9 volt battery inside unit was not in factory wrap like 2 other Boss pedals I bought making me wonder if pedal was used. The pedal itself showed no signs of where or blemishes and seems to work fine. The factory box condition and the battery in unit being unwrapped is reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars. Please try again later. Please try again later. Mr. Soupp 5.0 out of 5 stars Then again, no acoustic should be plugged in for recording either. You can even add reverberations to the acoustic sound. It has enough settings to get your favorite sound going. Mostly, it all depends on how you play your guitar to make it sound like an acoustic. But it sounds really close to the real deal, to a point where a music lover in the audience wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Please try again later. Please try again later. Colin Hendrick 4.0 out of 5 stars If you want to get the right effect, this is a good choice. For those of us, who find acoustic guitars difficult to play, this is solution. Personally I have a lazy blues style and my attempts to play acoustic guitars, too often feels like I am using a manual typewriter. This product does what it says on the box, but sounds better using hum bucker pickups, or if you play a strat, it sounds very good on the middle or neck pickup. Don't use the bridge pickup, as it doesn't sound too good. Please try again later. Please try again later. Lespaul1961 2.0 out of 5 stars One setting is too bassy, one more like a mandolinPlease try again later. Please try again later. Edward Mann 4.0 out of 5 stars This fit the bill nicely. Using a Strat with the pickup selector in the fourth position and the pedal set to peizo, running straight into the PA I had a convincing acoustic sound. I wouldn't recommend this for recording, but for a live performance it fills a niche and has become a permanent part of my pedal board. As an aside, I didn't have any problem with the hum that other people mention. It seemed to me that the hum only became apparent with the level knob cranked all the way up, which, honestly, should come as no surprise. Please try again later. Please try again later. Carlos Jovel 5.0 out of 5 stars Please try again later. Please try again later. Jose Parilli 5.0 out of 5 stars I think that depending on your guitar a different parameter works differently. I have a strat and a Gibson LP and I use for both different settings to get the sound I want. Other than that, bam. Please try again later. Please try again later. The revised Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator builds on the success of the original and adds some new features. Perfect for laying down acoustic guitar overdubs and the odd acoustic part in a live show, the AC-3 uses COSM ( Composite Object Sound Modelling ) technology to turn your electric guitar signal into a variety of authentic, shimmering acoustic guitar tones.https://www.zulfugar.nl/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c7d3ae4b40---canon-printer-service-manual-free-download.pdf The AC-3 has 4 main modes to chose from ' Standard ', ' Jumbo ', ' Enhanced ' and ' Piezo-equipped '. Each of these modes can be adjusted and sculpted into your desired acoustic tone quickly and easily using the ' Top ' and ' Body ' controls and then the in-built reverb can be added to smooth out the effect. The AC-3 is also equipped with a line out to run a second feed straight into the desk or PA. GAK's Boss AC-3 FAQ's Q1: Does the AC-3 negate the need for an acoustic guitar. A: The AC-3 is a tool designed for the guitarist who does not have the ability to take 2 guitars to a gig or for studio sessions where acoustic is an after thought and there is not one to hand. Though the modelling is fantastically realistic, it cannot recreate all aspects of an acoustic guitar. Q2: How do I use the 'Line Out' function. This will be a direct feed from the pedal, so your amplifier settings will not be in this signal. Q3: How long is the battery life. A: The AC-3 uses a 9V PP-3 type battery. Using an Alkaline battery (6LR61) will give up to 6 hours of use. You can purchase by clicking here. Look no further because the Boss AC-3 Acoustic Guitar Simulator gives you the sounds of four different world class acoustic guitars at the twist of a knob. The AC-3's incredibly realistic acoustic guitar modeling is made possible by Boss' COSM modeling technology that instantaneously turns your electric guitar into a variety of high-end acoustics. The AC-3 allows you to switch from a crunchy lead to a clean beautiful acoustic instrument without the hassel of having to switch instruments. The AC-3 offers 4 different modes which include standard, jumbo, enhance and piezo. The standard mode recreates the sound of a classic dreadnaught- style acoustic guitar which is ideal for fingerpicked arpeggios. The jumbo mode gives your guitar powerful sound and resonance that you would get with a big-bodied guitar which is perfect for strumming chords. Top and Body controls of the AC-3 are provided for precise tonal shaping of the four acoustic models. The body control knob enables you to adjust the resonance of the acoustic guitar while the top control knob allows for adjustment of the sounds that would typically be picked up by condessor mic. The AC-3 with its onboard reverb can add depth and sweetness to your already amazing acoustic guitar sound. The AC-3 comes equipped with 2 sets of outputs for connecting the AC-3 to a standard guitar amp and to a direct input device such as a PA, recorder, or an acoustic-guitar amp configuration such as a Roland AC-60.My advice, put the money toward the purchase of an acoustic guitar. I really like BOSS products but this one is a failure When I plugged in the Boss AC-3 through the line out output to the PA system it was a huge improvement in sound and depth. It actually does sound like an acoustic guitar. I use the pedal by itself, no amp or processor and it works awesome, I am selling the Mooer pedal now:) To play the media you will need to either update your browser to a recent version or update your Flash plugin.Fill out this form and we'll BEAT IT!Please read our Privacy Policy and Terms Of Use.
