The remote is sluggish in response when adjusting the volume. The volume knob has issues I can't adjust the volume steadily it bounces back n forth. You have to turn it very slow or use the remote. Call quality seems fine but if you drive a big diesel truck with rattling parts and a generally loud interior you will have to repeat yourself frequently. If you drive a nice quiet Mercedes with the windows up you won't get any complaints. The buttons I guess can be weird for some people but I've gotten used to them. Price has gone up on this since my first purchase and I was still happy to purchase again without a second thought. There are a few cheaper models from the same company but I know this model is good and with a broken antenna it still picks up radio stations just fine where the stock one in my Mercedes didn't get anything but the single strongest station (which can be heard from 3-4 counties away)Was delivered on the 30th of June and as of the 27th of July Amazon states the the return time was up. Installed this unit in our RV. We took one Trip (9 days) and the volume knob no longer works as well as something with the tuner intermittently does not work. It is obvious that this is a faulty unit. Totally disappointed in Amazon for their return policy (not even 30 days) as well as Boss for the faulty product. An even exchange would go a long way here if Boss feels that their product is worthy.I installed it myself in my 2005 Toyota Echo which was a big pain, but I did it. Initially this weird thing happened that the volume would go all the way down by itself. That self corrected, but I have no idea why. I did email the company and they sent me a new faceplate. Then after about 3 months of working fine, it just shut off. I had driven to the store and when I got back into the car, the radio just didn't work. The stereo did blow my ignition fuse but was an easy fix once I identified the problem, but beyond that I haven't had any problems since installing about a month ago. The controls are somewhat counter-intuitive and the instruction manual is worthless but they can be figured out with a little bit of experimentation. As others have noted, this won't sync with an iphone via the usb port but works fine over Bluetooth, and there's an auxiliary jack that would work as well via any headphones port. Android works fine both ways, and there's an app available that'll replicate basic controls. Also includes a physical remote control.Then worked intermittently, then would adjust the volume on its own, then just died. For forty bucks oh well, but now I need to remove it and replace. PITA. Would have rather spent more and done it once.I would like for there to be an option to be able to show the clock all the time. I had purchased 2 of these radios but after installing one in my wifes jeep and so many issue with it I sent the other one back and haven't been able to resell the other one. My suggestion is look for a different quality CD deck. Overall I'm happy with how it sounds and how easy it is to use.Like others have mentioned, the unit is a bit wide than the standard DIN measurement. Consequently the trim ring does not snap into the unit. I used hot glue to stick the trim ring onto the console and it seems to be holding up well. Sound quality is fine considering the price I paid. The car has a power antenna, but the unit keeps the antenna up as long as it is turned on (even for the USB and AUX modes); would have been nice to have the antenna retracted when it is out of radio mode. The clock is only visible when the unit is turned on, which is kind of annoying. But again, these are minor issues.Perfect fit, clear instructions and sounds great. A paired my I-Phone to it and that works perfectly as well. I was a little concerned that the quality would be lacking due to the low price point but I am pleasantly surprised.
