Since I'm well within the one year manufacturer's warranty period I'm hoping they will stand by their product. Thank you Bose!We have two other Bose Soundlink bluetooth portables (the Soundlink II and Mini) and I think our expectations for the Wave were just set too high. Honestly, the sound from the Wave is not significantly better than the Soundlink II. Overall frequency response and dispersion are quite similar. So the Wave just doesn't measure up from a value standpoint. Furthermore, it was difficult establish a WiFi connection using the app (which seems to be required). That included referencing the Bose website for the third-tier fallback method which requires a laptop and a thumb drive to transfer the login credentials to the Wave. All in all, not up to our expectations for Bose at this price point. UPDATE: I had originally given this three stars. Now I'd downgrade to one star after a week of use. Bose just recently did an update (June 2016) and added Amazon Music to their music services for Prime members. Unfortunately, you can not listen to your own Amazon Prime Playlists, but you have the options of listening to Amazon's pre-selected Prime Playlists and Amazon's Prime Stations. I hope eventually they change this so that I can listen to my own Amazon Prime playlists that I have set up. You can still listen to your Amazon Prime playlists, but you would have to do so by using Bluetooth. You can also listen to Spotify and any music on your computer or other devices by using Bluetooth, you just have to make sure your computer doesn't go into sleep mode or it will stop playing. It also has a place where you can hook up an auxillary cable and listen your Ipod or MP3 player. You can also listen to local and internet radio stations. It also has a cd player. I listen to it a lot at night, I just put in my White Noise CD and set it to repeat and it will play all night. The remote control has six presets, so you can preset your favorite playlists or radio stations. There are a couple of downsides to it. Also, the other downside is the price. I definitely think it cost too much, but having said that, I don't regret buying it. I think it is a great music system and I've really been enjoying it. Update: I've had this music system for over a year now and it still works and sounds great. It can be quite annoying when you're listening to a playlist and one track is really loud and then the next track is very low. Even if you have a Spotify Premium subscription and listen to it on the Bose Music System, unfortunately that option does not carry over.
