The package comes with the wall mount, an extender and the plate that clips into the actual speaker.Let me first start by saying that I am wiring my Bose AM6 Series V in my home's prewired setup that had speaker wire already run throughout the main room. The salesman never mentioned that (a) the Bose Acoustimass wires go from the amp to the bass module and (b) that Bose uses specialized wiring. This posed some challenges right off the bat. So I needed a wiring harness first off. Amazon sells this: The second challenge is that with the speakers themselves having a special plug I needed something that adapts wiring to Bose plugs, I found that here: So I ordered those two items and the brackets to get them mounted. I thought that would be all I needed, and I was foolish to think it would be that easy. There are a couple of major problems with this Bose UB-20 Series II and the Accoustimass 6 Series V. The screw that you see in the picture that mounts to the bracket that attaches to the speaker is too long.https://ayurvedia.ch/3m-navy-manual It won't allow you to get the AM6 on the mount with the screw all the way in. If you don't tighten the screw fully then the speaker wobbles. Also, the speaker wire to Bose connectors I listed are a bit long in the back and won't allow the speaker to clamp to the mount. This would have been solved if Bose would have cut the connector hole on the bottom of the mount.This causes you to have to run the wire in a Z formation and causes a tight crimp. So here is what I needed to get it to work correctly. First, go to Lowes or Home Depot and get you some M5x.80 screws that are 25mm long to replace the screw you see in the picture above. Make sure the screw head is bigger than the one that comes with the Bose. This will allow it to for a tight fit. This way you will be able to fasten the clamp to the bracket without it being loose and without it sticking out so much the clamp will not close on the AM6 speaker. Second, don't buy the speaker plug adapters I listed above on Amazon. You are going to have to cut the wire that comes with your Bose speaker and use the plug on that wire. The plugs above are too long to work with the clamp and the Bose plug works fine once you use wingnut wire connectors. INVEST IN WIRE STRIPPERS FOR THIS!!! You don't want to mess up the Bose cables so use wire strippers. Once you make those few changes you can actually get this mount to work. The mount would work perfectly if it had (1) a speaker wire input or adapter with the mount and (2) the right screw that didn't prohibit you from fastening the AM6 correctly. This whole process was aggravating, but it's solvable. Why Bose engineered this bracket the way they did is beyond me.Here's why: I've used these mounts twice, same Acoustimass system by Bose and both times they worked swimmingly. This time around I read the reviews and realized that not everyone with an Acoustimass system reads the instructions.http://flordeyebenes.com/images/bose-ub-20-instruction-manual.pdf The little screw everyone is complaining about needs to be thrown out and replaced with the only black one in the entire bag. That little black screw ensures that, one, the screw tightens up the mount to the speaker WITHOUT crushing the wire from, two, the 90 degree bend everyone is complaint about. The Bose ends, the ones with the two slits in them, are made to withstand the bend and the wires going up and out of the oval hole at the top of the mount. If you follow the directions and replace the screw then all your problems are solved. Good luck and may be the force be with you.I have two gripes with the setup of these mounts if you are intending to ceiling mount the speakers. First off you have to know exactly how you want the speaker aimed into the room unlike if you do the ceiling mount you have full range of motion. For a ceiling mount it restricts the ability to pivot the direction of the speakers any direction but up or down. Secondly for the mounting plate to attach to the back of the speakers it smashes the cable from Bose. The cable is fairly thick and comes straight out of the back of the speaker. The only way you can get the mount to click into place you need to back out the mounting screw on the back of the plate plus have to press the speaker down. I hope Bose considers a new design for the use with these speakers or a lot of customers are going to be calling Bose for new speaker cables.Mounts work great and we’re fairly easy to install with a bit of DIY knowledge. We used both wall and ceiling mounts that were included in the kit. Mounts with speakers attached have some weight to them, so definitely try to install them where there is solid mounting material available such as a stud wall or concrete. I doubt drywall would hold them safely long term. We used Wall Dog anchor screws on the other side of the mount to hold the speaker tight to the wall. Minimal speaker wire shows from mounting procedures outlined in the instructions. Three months of TV, gaming, and music and all mounts haven’t moved.Easily adjusts to the perfect angle. I initially purchased cheaper plastic wall mounts and they didn't look that good (jutted out from the wall too much and didn't hide the cable). I mounted these so the wire goes over the top and immediately behind the mounting plate. I ran 14 gauge speaker wire These literally took me 10 minutes each to install. If you are installing into drywall or plaster, use the toggle bots that come with it. Also, something I completely missed, there is only 1 mount per pack.
