The screw that you see in the picture that mounts to the bracket that attaches to the speaker is too long. It won't allow you to get the AM6 on the mount with the screw all the way in. Also, the speaker wire to Bose connectors I listed are a bit long in the back and won't allow the speaker to clamp to the mount. This would have been solved if Bose would have cut the connector hole on the bottom of the mount.This causes you to have to run the wire in a Z formation and causes a tight crimp. So here is what I needed to get it to work correctly. First, go to Lowes or Home Depot and get you some M5x.80 screws that are 25mm long to replace the screw you see in the picture above. Make sure the screw head is bigger than the one that comes with the Bose. This will allow it to for a tight fit. This way you will be able to fasten the clamp to the bracket without it being loose and without it sticking out so much the clamp will not close on the AM6 speaker. Second, don't buy the speaker plug adapters I listed above on Amazon. You are going to have to cut the wire that comes with your Bose speaker and use the plug on that wire. The plugs above are too long to work with the clamp and the Bose plug works fine once you use wingnut wire connectors. INVEST IN WIRE STRIPPERS FOR THIS!!! You don't want to mess up the Bose cables so use wire strippers. Once you make those few changes you can actually get this mount to work. The mount would work perfectly if it had (1) a speaker wire input or adapter with the mount and (2) the right screw that didn't prohibit you from fastening the AM6 correctly. This whole process was aggravating, but it's solvable. Why Bose engineered this bracket the way they did is beyond me. It makes it seem as if you have to screw into the speaker. This time around I read the reviews and realized that not everyone with an Acoustimass system reads the instructions. The little screw everyone is complaining about needs to be thrown out and replaced with the only black one in the entire bag. That little black screw ensures that, one, the screw tightens up the mount to the speaker WITHOUT crushing the wire from, two, the 90 degree bend everyone is complaint about. The Bose ends, the ones with the two slits in them, are made to withstand the bend and the wires going up and out of the oval hole at the top of the mount. First off you have to know exactly how you want the speaker aimed into the room unlike if you do the ceiling mount you have full range of motion. Mounts with speakers attached have some weight to them, so definitely try to install them where there is solid mounting material available such as a stud wall or concrete. I doubt drywall would hold them safely long term. A drop ceiling was installed in this particular basement so we had to build a solid mount behind the tiles for the speakers to be attached to. For the rear wall mounted speakers we were able to install one side of each mount into stud behind the drywall. We used Wall Dog anchor screws on the other side of the mount to hold the speaker tight to the wall. Minimal speaker wire shows from mounting procedures outlined in the instructions. Y no vale porque el soporte que encaja en el altavoz no tiene el agujero en el lugar correcto que encaja donde se conecta al altavoz. Ademas no deja espacio para que entre un cable de 2.5mm. Das gro?e Manko dieses Produktes ist die Kabeleinfuhrung. Diese passt namlich nicht zum Lautsprecher und muss eigenhandig nachgearbeitet werden.
