This system does what it advertise. However, This is my second system because the first one was not working. It shut off randomly. The build quality is very cheap for the main unit. FYI, the inside component just a regular computer DVD rom hook up with a media motherboard. I got it for a great discount so that I don't complaint at all. This is a great sounding system that is easy to set up, versatile, compact, and stylish. The cons of the system are that the bass is weak and you cannot upgrade or integrate this system with bigger speakers, even the Bose VS20 Center Channel is incompatible. We started unpacking it and were very happy with what we saw. The speakers were small and fit everywhere and came with more than enought cord to install in any home. BradD The system and sound quality are very good, but there are problems. I have had this system for 11 months and it works just fine. The remote operation is troublesome with regards to programming and the volume levels are very hard to get adjusted correctly. I have also had a problem using remote stereo headphones due to heavy static. Direct connect headphones work just fine. The installation was very good and the service plan is very good. Overall it is a good audio system which will work differently in different installations.He was extremely knowledgable about the Bose systems and answered all my questions about the product. The other tech, Lake, was very patient and helpful when it came to me actually deciding on purchasing the Lifestyle 28. As for the product itself, I must say my husband was exstatic about receiving his Father's Day gift. He is just now setting it up so I will definitely have him write his own review (stay tuned). I can imagine it will take him a couple hours to set up because there are a lot of different cables, a big installation manual, and many components. However, we've had a Bose system in our household for more than 10 years and I'm sure this one will last just as long. Great home theater system that is well worth the investment. RobLS28 The BOSE system was purchased for me by my wonderful wife as a birthday gift. The following day i quickly installed the entire system within 20 minutes. Calibrating the system took a bit longer, however, you need not do much for this. Aside from the DVD being integrated which is a nice touch regardless not being Blu-Ray, i have connected the family Nintendo Wii System to the BOSE. We find that we play more as a family and tend to have company over more often, just to play. The surround system makes overall game playing that much more exhilarating. I have also connected our Dish Network Satellite DVR. I cannot say enought about the dynamic sound quality that comes with any one of BOSE's products, the price is defintely worth it, Ladies and Gents, DO NOT SKIMP ON HOME THEATRE SYSTEMS if you truly want that cinema sound in your very own home.Typical great BOSE quality sound, though subwoofer seems to struggle with lower range, deep bass. My husband and I are huge movie buffs and he has always wanted this. I didn't think it was wroth the money at the time but I have changed my mind. It was VERY much worth the money. We enjoy the Bose Home Theater product so much that we even bought one for our bedroom and even got Bose speakers for our computer. As a socking stuffer last year I bought my husband Bose headphones. What can I say we are huge Bose fans. Oh, and yes we got it all at Best Buy, the clerks were so helpful with everything. Now i will buy a set of wireless bose speakears from you to connect on it and increase the sound in my house.Soundlistener The only thing good about Blose is its marketing. After listening to this system, there is no mid range and the sound becomes irritating almost painful. If there is a problem with any part of the system, the whole thing needs to go in for repair. Its inputs are limited and expandability is expensive. Read the specs, the cubes are crossed over at 240 hz and are made of paper.
