My remotes for my previous models haven't lasted well, so I was a bit disappointed with this, although it makes the model look a little sleeker. I now have one upstairs and one downstairs in my house and am happy. I use an adaptor with my Series II so that I can use either my old iPod with it (without the convertor adaptor) or my new iPhones with the adaptor. You can get a similar adaptor for this to be able to use older models on it, but haven't tried it yet.Without doubt the best player I have ever owned.
