Thanks very much for any help! - Dave Most of their speakers that are labelled 8 ohm actually have far lower impedance. Audiophile and pro audio equipment will do so. BTW, the speakers will operate at different ohm levels at different frequency levels, so the speakers won't even really be operating at 4 ohms, assuming the 4 ohm rating is accurate. (These ratings are often inaccurate.) Also working in your favor is the fact that your rear speakers really won't have to play very loudly--mostly rear speakers are for subtle effects.
