One of the best parts of using a Bose Headset is the Bluetooth capability. With Bluetooth, you connect a device by pairing it wirelessly with a source; you do not need a cord to make the connection. Pairing connects other Bluetooth devices with your Bose headset, but first, you must turn on pairing mode. Here is how. Manually Turning on Pairing in Your Bose Headset To pair your Bose headset with a Bluetooth-enabled device: Turn the headset upside down so that you are looking at the bottom of the headset. Move the power switch to the On position to turn on the headset. Move the headset close to the Bluetooth-enabled device that you want to pair it with so it can be discovered. The second device must also be powered on. Press and hold the call button (or another button specified in the instructions for your specific device) on your headset for about five seconds to put the headset into discoverable mode. You will see a slow-blinking indicator light. From the second device's Bluetooth device list, choose the option for the name of the Bose device you are pairing. If the device name does not up, go back to the Bose device and repeat the steps to get it to show up. After you select the device, you may be prompted to enter a password or to confirm to accept the connection. If you are asked for a password, Bose says to type in 0000 and then press OK. When the pairing has completed the connection, the Bluetooth indicator light flashes again and turns a solid color. Ten seconds after the pairing is complete, the light turns off. Turning on Pairing Mode With Bose Connect App In addition to manually pairing your Bose headset with a Bluetooth-enabled device, you can use the Bose Connect app to turn on pairing mode. The Bose app manages the Bluetooth settings for multiple Bose devices. To pair your Bose headset with the Connect App: If you have not already, download the Bose Connect app from the iOS App Store or Google Play. Open the app and go to the Connections section. If this is your first time connecting, click the Connect New option. On your headset, make sure the power light is on and that you held down the Call button to turn on pairing mode. Your device should now show up on the Bose Connect app. Select it by its name. Once the device is connected, the indicator light blinks for two seconds, and the app reports that it is Connected to (Name of the Device). If you need to disconnect your device, you can do so from the app, and if you choose to reconnect it later, locate your device's name in the app under the Connections subcategory History. There, devices that were previously connected are available to reconnect. When Bose Headset Does Not Pair in Connect If your wireless headset does not show up in the Bose Connect app, confirm that the headset is on and try again. If that does not work, reboot the device. You can also try closing and reopening the Connect app, and if you are on Android, enable location services or clear the app's cache to reset the app's settings and, hopefully, fix the problem. Bose QuietComfort 35 Not Pairing Certain headsets, such as the QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones, sometimes have issues struggling to connect. If you find your Bose QuietComfort 35 not pairing, clear the Bluetooth list on both your headset and the Bluetooth devices you are trying to connect with. To clear this pairing list, slide the power switch of the headset to the Bluetooth symbol and hold it for 10 seconds. You should hear Bluetooth Device List Cleared. Then, do the same on the Bluetooth connected device and delete the QuietComfort 35 name from the device's Bluetooth list. That should solve any issues of Bose QuietComfort 35 not pairing. Bose SoundLink Speaker Not Pairing While it is not a headset, you might find that your Bose SoundLink speakers have trouble pairing too. If this happens, reset Bose SoundLink and the Bose SoundLink app. To do so: Hold the Mute button down on your SoundLink speakers for 10 seconds until the LED lights flash. Press the Power button to turn the SoundLink back on. Clear the pairing list on both the Bose SoundLink speakers and the Bluetooth device you were trying to connect to. To reset the Bose SoundLink pairing lists, hold down the Bluetooth button for 10 seconds. A tone sounds when it is done, indicating you cleared all Bluetooth devices from the speaker's memory. Try to pair the device again. To make your speakers discoverable, hold down the Bluetooth button for three seconds. This light blinks on and off about once per second, which is how you know that pairing mode is on. Now, connect to the speakers from your Bluetooth-enabled device, and your device should be paired. It's engineered to react automatically as noise levels change, allowing you to hear your end of the call better. Plus, an exclusive noise-rejecting microphone system helps your caller better hear you above both noise and wind. The Bose Bluetooth headset is compact, light and well-balanced, and now you can choose between right- or left-ear versions. The curved design fits your facial features, and the soft StayHear silicone tip keeps the headset comfortably and securely in place. Better Sound at Both Ends of Your Call Bose advanced technology automatically senses noise around you and adjusts the headset volume accordingly. In a loud environment, the volume increases so you can hear your call. When things quiet down, the volume decreases. Either way, the listening level remains constant. The person on the far end of the call hears you better, too. The Bose Bluetooth headset features an improved noise-rejecting microphone system that differentiates between your voice and background noise - even in windy environments. It transmits more of you (and less noise) to the listener. With technologies that accentuate voices over noise, the Bose Bluetooth headset allows for more natural-sounding conversations with fewer interruptions - at both ends of the line. Designed for Best Possible Fit The side-specific design of the Bose Bluetooth headset Series 2 allows you to get the fit that's right for you. The curved design fits facial features, and the button placement on top and bottom allows the use of a natural pinching motion that won't dislodge the headset from your ear. And the soft StayHear silicone tip keeps the headset comfortably and securely in place. It distributes contact over a greater area inside the ear, avoiding known pressure points. The headset stays in your ear without being too tight - and without an ear hook. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time. A complete recharge takes three hours. Each action, from taking and ending calls to inserting or removing the headset, can be accomplished easily with one hand - important while you're driving or on the go. A2DP Audio Streaming When you're not on a call, you can enjoy mobile media content through A2DP. The Bluetooth profile for streaming audio content lets you listen to turn-by-turn directions plus stored music, podcasts and other media on your smartphone. Key Features Adaptive audio adjustment technology automatically adjusts headset volume depending on surrounding noise: a constant listening level is maintained as the user moves between quiet and loud environments. Noise-rejecting microphone filters out noise around you, allowing the person on the other end of the call to hear more of your voice. TriPort acoustic structure ensures natural-sounding voice quality and allows for louder volume in noisy environments. S, M and L StayHear removable silicone tips increase stability with a comfortable, personalized fit. No need for an ear hook. Rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time per charge. Battery indicator shows battery status from green to amber to red. Complete recharge takes 3 hours. Also enables pairing with your Bluetooth phone. Power slider switch lets you easily turn headset power on (green) or off (red) one-handed, with a quick slide of the switch. Wall and USB chargers provide two options for charging the headset battery. Carrying case protects headset during transport and storage. Amazon Customer 5.0 out of 5 stars I have purchased 3 different high quality (means expensive) ear sets and he hated every one. This is the only one he likes - WHY, OR WHY DID BOSE DISCONTINUE??? The one that arrived was perfect -I bought my second in mid February, and it came apart this evening as I inserted it in my ear. The Good: 1. The device fits uniquely in the ear canal without causing discomfort over time. I've worn mine for hours and essentially forgotten it was in my ear. This bluetooth is THAT comfortable. 2. It's a decent size (compared to my old Plantronic Voyager), not as sleek as some of the other in-ear bluetooths out there, but less clunky than my over-the-ear Plantronic. The Bad: 1. Fragile! I dropped my first bluetooth twice (on carpet), and the earpiece broke off. My second bluetooth came apart at the earpiece as I inserted it in my ear tonight. I didn't drop it. I didn't handle it roughly. It's THAT fragile! 2. Lackluster sound: On my receiving end, both bluetooth devices sounded fine. However, people on the other end routinely complained that they could hardly hear me with my second bluetooth; I frequently had to readjust the angle of the device to try to improve their listening experiences. I occasionally had similar complaints with my first bluetooth, but it was particularly problematic with my second one. I expected better quality from Bose; perhaps I bought into the Bose reputation more than I should have. 3. Battery life: My first bluetooth died within about 2 hours of standby mode (or about 45 minutes of talk time) in my ear. That one spent half its day recharging. My second bluetooth had more battery life (up to 3 hours on standby; about 60 minutes of talk time). I'd like to make it more than halfway through a typical workday without searching for a plugin cord. Again, maybe I'm asking for too much. 4. Warranty limitation. According to the Bose website, only products purchased directly through a Bose store are eligible for return or exchange. Excluded are purchases made online, by phone, or through other retailers. An Amazon purchase means you're out of luck. Here's the link: Overall, I'd say my two experiences were mixed in terms of comfort versus sound quality.I have one that is going on 4 years old and is by far the best music speaker that can be found in a one ear, ear bud. I also find that I can speak normally and hear conversations normally when on the phone. As with most rechargeable batteries, I know that it will eventually stop charging and that the device will become obsolete. BOSE suggested I replace it with the sport buds, but those are for two ears and have wires. I need this device for driving, as required by law, and can only use an ear bud in one ear for safety reasons, rendering the suggestion null and void. He said that they no longer carry a one ear speaker. I also find that dashboard conversations in bluetooth equipped vehicles are less private and more difficult to hear, probably due to ambient noise while driving. I guess I'll just have to enjoy this wonderful little BOSE earbud speaker as long as it lasts and then start searching for something similar in another brand. Bummer!I prefer to find the companies the put their money into the product and let the product sell itself. Sound quality was good when it worked. The Bose earbuds stay firmly in your ear. You are limited to use it in one ear, so if you like to switch it up this unit may not be for you. The sound is great quality and plays music as well as voice. The caller can always hear me, unless I'm in a windy or high noise location. My only gripe is that Bose needs to come up with a voice based way to answer the phone. With my Jabra and Plantronics headsets I could hear who was calling even when phone was in my pocket because there was an announcement played in my ear. Those headsets were cheaper than the Bose but had these features. Given how expensive the product is and how easy it is to add these features, Bose should do it. That's the difference between a 4 and 5 star product in my opinion.I love my ear peiece it is comfortable and the voices are clear on both ends. The down side is the battery life it has maybe 4 hours of talk or music time and only goes 8 hrs in stand by. For quality I would recommend it and it is a bit pricey but quality usually is. I have an old planitronics that I use as a back up sound quality is not nearly as good but it has up to a week on stand by.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again With this one, that problem is gone. Even when calling from the car, people think I'm calling from the quietness of my home. I bought based on reviews and I'm glad. Other than that, it's very easy to use and the buttons are big enough to use. I was told by the salesperson at the Bose store this model was now discontinued so thanks to Amazon for having some left. It would be great if Bose decided to renew it in the future. Well done Bose!Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again It is very easy to use, very convenient. Little and dainty.
