Just plug the Adapter into your Wave II or III system (note: read the instructions carefully that comes with the unit, the Wave II and III systems set up slightly differently). The Adapter doesn't have a power chord, it gets its power from the unit. That in itself is great and no need for yet another device plugged into your outlets. All of my bluetooth enabled devices discovered the Bose Adapter easily. The Adapter memorizes 6 device settings.more than enough for what I needed. Finally, one more tip for the non-techie people like myself: If playing music through your computer, you will need to change a couple of settings on the computer itself. First, make sure that the computer setting is set for bluetooth (go to control panel,systems and security,then change to allow bluetooth devices). The other is make the Bose sysem as your main speaker output for your computer. To do that, go to control panel, then devices and printers, then change the speaker setting on your computer to the Bose system instead of the speaker default. If you don't change that setting, it won't play on your Bose. To do that in Windows 7, simply go to your control panel, click hardware and sound, then manage audio devices. You can change your playback device to the Bose system there. If you love your Bose system as much as I do, why just hear your CDs and the radio on them when you can use the Adapter to connect up to 6 of your audio bluetooth devices to it and enjoy that great Bose sound on all of them!Ridiculous, especially considering the price.It plugs into the boselink connection in the back and that's the only connection you need. Syncs with our MacBooks, iPads and iPhones perfectly. Takes a couple of seconds and off you go. Sound is good. The sound level is a little lower so you will have to go up in volume, but the sound quality is great. Easy set up. We've had no issues with range. You will also need the unlock code to reactivate your stereo after long term power loss. It is on a card with the manual given to the owner of new vehicles. A smart dealer will put it on a sticker in the glove box. Otherwise you have to remove the radio and give a Honda dealer the radio serial number to get the unlock code. After removing the five screws, flip the device right side up, then simply lift the cover off. It's a tight fit and there's not much clearance, but if you lift the cover straight up, you'll be fine. It goes without saying that you have to unplug the power cord from the back of the device. With the cover off, it's easy to follow how the CD is going into the machine and being ejected. In my case, there was just enough friction during the loading process to prevent the device from pulling the CD into the caddy completely, but I found that if I tapped the CD as it went in, this overcame the friction. I left in the screw nearest the back to safeguard alignment. Grabbed the one of the two cd's I had forced in. When I turned on the unit again it smoothly ejected the properly loaded disc. I did not realize that there were two inside till I followed your instructions and removed them. It took all of five minutes to get up and playing again. Previously, I was just able to unscrew the bottom and grab the cd and it popped out (that is when I found the dime). I reinserted a cd and the cd was stuck again.I could see the cd but I as luck would have it -- the cd seemed permanently embedded in the machine after multiple tries at pushing, pulling the cd from the encasement. As I unscrewed the second screw -- it appears that the mechanism allowed the cd to exit -- without effort. After the cd was released I did screw the screws back into where they belonged.Plays my cds faultlessly again ( my Bose is over 12 years old!). BUT - why do the cds that come in simple cardboard envelopes e.g. from Germany, or South Africa (I'm in the US) usually not play when inserted and - in this last instance - then get stuck. Are they thinner than normal. I thought cd production standards were the same worldwide. ???? Here's what did work: I put the cover back on, picked up the player and shook the daylights out of it. Removed the cover again, found the caddy had opened and the CD accessible. Now: will the same problem happen again.
