We enhanced our flagship professional speaker to deliver high-output performances for medium-size clubs, large indoor venues and outdoor spaces. The 802 Series III speaker uses eight proprietary full-range drivers to provide a more consistent sound field than conventional speakers that rely on woofers, tweeters and crossovers. Our proprietary speaker configuration uses a baffle array for each driver to provide wide horizontal and vertical dispersion over all bandwidths. The Bose PANARAY system digital controller utilizes digital signal processing DSP architecture to provide smooth, accurate spectral response for any Bose professional loudspeaker product equiring active equalization EQ or additional processing. Any Bose professional loudspeaker EQ can be accessed by simply selecting the appropriate preset and configuration. No programming is required. The controller has two balanced XLR analog inputs and four balanced XLR outputs. It can be configured to run two mono Bose EQ presets or a single stereo Bose EQ preset including preset crossover settings.Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings using a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. The machine learned model takes into account factors including: the age of a review, helpfulness votes by customers and whether the reviews are from verified purchases. The enclosure has been updated to eliminate the front cover and add two M8 threaded inserts on each side to accept a new optional accessory U-bracket. Additionally the recommended EQ has been updated to optimize performance for wall and ceiling-mounted installed applications. Additional, generic parametric EQ values are available to use with non-Bose amplifiers and DSP. Bose full-range drivers are among the most reliable transducers in the industry, with 99.9 still operating 5 years after the original installation. The 802 Series IV EQ is optimized for installations near an acoustic boundary, such as walls or ceilings. The 802 Series III EQ can be used with the 802 Series IV loudspeaker for free-space acoustic conditions with a slight reduction in maximum sound level. Is there a secret magic switch that just makes them unfold. What's the secret, because I'm pretty sure I can't work out how to get into them. The answer is going to be something really simple and I will feel daft but please will someone tell me. And, in anticipation of what I will find inside them. Anyone know a good supplier of Bose recones in the UK. Probably don't have to be Bose specifically, I can cope with copies. Thanks, Peter How on earth does one get inside them. Thanks, Peter Oh lucky you. We were unfortunate enough to inherit some that have actually got mould growing inside them as they are such a nighmare to get into. You have to unscrew the 2 plastic rings on the front, then the section they are mounted on will come off, and you can unclip the grille. Then the only way of getting inside proper is to remove all the drivers - or the appropriate ones to reach the bits you want. Everything else is solid plastic and you cannot get in from the back. Unscrew the large plastic rings around the ports, pull front cover off, test each speaker (listen and tap them to make sure they're tracking right), take out all problem speakers and replace with working ones from other speakers. If no speakers work, check fuse, lamp (probably a light bulb for a car tail light or something, buy from automotive shop instead of speaker shop), and the obvious connectors and wiring. Sell the working ones, ditch the incomplete or dead ones. No sense spending a dime to recone. Or does the lamp serve some other purpose. It's the same acoustical coupling principal that Bose pursues with the 402. Sort of like flipping a 402 on its side. This is why I cringe when I see a 402 mounted horizontally. I've done it myself, but I had specific design reasons for so doing.Do you concur with my explanation ?. Phil My studies in audio circuitry came to an abrupt halt after about 17 or 18 chapters of the course when I realized that if I wasn't going to work with it all the time, I wasn't going to remember a lot of it. I was right -- I don't remember a lot of it anymore.I am starting to lose faith in Dave as a Bose preacher.I have a pair here in stock that I traded in a long time ago.
