As many of you already know, government does not have any jurisdiction over people without the people's consent. They do, however, have jurisdiction over "citizens" as defined in the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. Once people make a habit of recognizing words in the correct legal sense, it makes it much easier for them to see when a statute applies to them, and when it does not, which is always.
Governments have always sought ways to control the people and find ways to generate revenue. People who do not take the time to educate themselves in law are slumbering on their rights and the law does not protect the ignorant. In these united states. people are sovereign above government. As such, nothing can be written into any statute, code or even a constitution that would limit the authority of people. So when people are conducting their research in law, they have to become adept at knowing the difference in a people and a person.
There is a great deal of intentional confusion in these united states about whether or not people are citizens of the united states. I have read explanations about sovereign citizens. Some say Citizen with a capital C is a sovereign citizen and with a lower c is a subject citizen.
For those of you who are still not convinced that Americans are not required to pay income tax just look at the tax code itself. According to United States Code Title 26, Section 7806, Title 26 is not law. You may follow the link to read it or you may download the PDF directly from the US Government Printing Office website.
