Assemble the Bose UFS-20 speaker stand with basic tools that you'll find around the house. Step 1 Stand the UFS-20 base on the floor with the short end facing you. Unscrew the locking nut from the bottom of the stand’s base with your fingers. Run the end of the speaker cable through the bottom of the base. Run the speaker wire through the bottom of the speaker stand and out of the bent top. Step 2 Insert the straight end of the speaker stand into the hole in the base. Screw the speaker stand into the base by rotating it with your hands. Stop screwing the stand into the base when the bent end at the top of the speaker stand is facing away from you. Step 3 Place the locking nut over the end of the speaker stand that is poking through the bottom of the base. Screw the locking nut back on with your fingers. Tighten the nut with pliers. Step 4 Connect the “Plus” and “Minus” labeled speaker wires on the speaker cable to the matching connections on the back of the Bose speaker. Place the back of the Bose speaker against the speaker plate at the top of the UFS-20. Tighten the locking screws on the back of the speaker plate to secure it to the Bose speaker -- use a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat this entire procedure with the other UFS-20 speaker stand. Highly recommend.The directions are pictures only and do not show how to use them with these speakers. You need the correct back plate to go with these speakers and this model does NOT come with them. You need to call Bose and have them send you the correct brackets that are compatible with these speakers. Also, you need to 'click' in the backplate to make it secure. The directions do not show that either. I finally got it together using the wrong plates, it does work but puts un-needed stress on the wiring into the speaker. I'm waiting for the correct brackets to show up, but in the meantime I have it working. The base and pole is heavy and solid, the speaker poll has a slot behind to hidden the wire, also a cover for the speaker mount to cover the mounting screw. The 38 inch pole is not adjustable, which I perfect this way is more clean looking. This stand is built with good materials. However, This Bose UF S-20 speaker stand do not fit properly with the VIZIO satellite speakers. I need to drill a small hole on the speaker to fit them properly. This is to use for prevent the speaker swinging sideway. Which the VIZIO speakers don’t have that hole to fit that pin. To make it work, Just drill a 3mm hole below the mounting screw hole and that’s all you need to modified to use this stand. Also use these smaller screws for mounting, they comes with the package. The pre-instead screws on the mouth is too big. If you are mechanically inclined these stands go together pretty easily but. I don't understand why they couldn't have put a little more effort in to the instructions. It may take a little tweaking to get them square and level the way you want them, but not too hard to do. It depends on how fussy you are. The base is heavier than they look which makes it stable, but the poles are a bit more wobbly than I was expecting for having such a solid base. Once they get in place they are not going to move anyway, so that is not a big deal. I gave it 4 star because they do seem a bit pricey, but I wasn't willing to take a chance on the cheaper stands that I wasn't sure would fit my speakers anyway. The instructions showed throwing away a screw and plastic piece that I thought might be for shipping but the style of speakers I had (direct reflecting) used the bigger screws and the plastic piece. The smaller screws it showed using without the plastic piece, was probably for a different speaker system.Putting them together requires some strength and perseverance, as there are quite long self-tapping screws to screw into the aluminium tube. Please try again Ich verwende sie mit Boxen von Teufel, die allerdings mit M6-Schrauben befestigt werden mussen. Diese Stative haben M5-Bohrungen (M5-Schrauben sind ebenfalls im Lieferumfang). An der Befestigtung lasst sich die Bohrung vom Platz und der Haltbarkeit her jedoch ohne gro?eres handwerkliches Geschick mit einem Metallbohrer freihand erweitern. Fur die 1,2kg schweren Teufel-Boxen, die ich montiert habe, ist die Standfestigkeit noch ausreichend - hoheres Gewicht sollte man den Stativen aber nicht zumuten. Das Lautsprecherkabel kann in die hinten offenen Stative geschoben werden. Das ist im Prinzip also einfacher als das Kabel in geschlossene Rohre zu schieben, was meistens an der Biegung Probleme macht. Mein nicht sonderlich uppiges (2x)2,5mm-Kabel verschwindet aber nur gerade so. Ein dickeres Kabel wurde man wohl nicht mehr in die Stative schieben konnen. Hier hatte Bose gern mit einem etwas gro?eren Durchmesser fur mehr Platz sorgen durfen. Fur wei?e Stative sollte man somit unbedingt wei?e Kabel verwenden.
