bose remote control rc25 manualStill working perfectly after some 20 yrs or so. The only problem is the remote control RC-25 is not functioning properly. Can anyone tell me where I can get an replament.I'm sorry that you're experiencing this. Can you elaborate a little further on what is happening with the remote. There's a chance we may be able to resolve this with troubleshooting. Curiously, is the remote only working at a close range or is it not working at all. Can you try to re-associate the remote with the system. Here are the steps: The audio input cable serves as the antenna for the Lifestyle remote. If it is wrapped, coiled or bunched up, extend the cord as much as possible. Does the cable look to be in good condition. Have you tried new batteries. If you haven't already, can you try to unplug the power cable to the media center for 30 seconds and re-test? The system uses the audio input cable between the music center and bass module as an antenna to receive the signals from the remote. It may be picking up interference from devices that are connected to the same power circuit, or from devices that are within a few feet of the audio input cable. To eliminate sources of interference, follow these steps: Makes and models of a particular device may present more of an issue than others of the same device type, while others can present no issue at all. Learn more or change settings here. There may be a clear plastic strip protecting the switches. You can remove the strip You will need to change the house code of the expansion remote to match the system. Note: The default house code setting is all squares in the down position Please feel free to share additional comments below. All remotes are fully sanitized at time of shipment. Stay Safe! It has the quality you trust from Bose. This remote needs no programming to control the unit it was provided with, has no codes to enter, and has all the functions needed to control your unit with ease.http://www.hydroexpert.ru/img/bosch-wfl-1660-service-manual.xml

Some report having to enter codes to program the remote to function properly. There are many clever ways these are marketed.Infra Red light cannot be seen with the naked eye. So not seeing this infra red light has no indication as to whether the remote is functioning properly or not. Good News! Infra red light be seen with a smart phone in the selfie mode. Just point it at the smart phone in selfie mode, and press buttons. You should see a flash of infra red light as the buttons are depressed on the remote control. This means the remote is functioning. If the infra red light stays on constantly, or never comes on, the remote is defective. See more in the troubleshooting link at the top of the page. However, if you need help, let us know. Paradise Island 5.https://connylahnstein.com/images/bose-remote-control-rc25-manual.pdf0 out of 5 stars I came across this product and read the review and thought, for the money it was worth to try. I followed the youtube video on how to repair and to my surprise, it works. The repair was easy except for the opening of the case which took a little more time.Hardest part was taking the old remote apart. Instruictions were clear as well as the included literature and youtube link to the product. No issues and great product.Easy to install after viewing instructions online. My remote works just like when it was brand new even though I’ve had it for almost 20 years! The YouTube instruction video is available if you search for P1Repair RC-25 Remote. Thanks for the wonderful kit.Plus there are many YouTube videos to walk you through the process. TheWorldFamousJOM 2.0 out of 5 stars But I didn't. My remote seems to only work within a 3-4 ft radius of the stereo unit. (We use it for home-theater with our TV. Who the heck wants to get up from the couch to adjust the sound, right?https://controlcert.se/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c4e9a37f01---captiva-user-manual.pdf) Bought this repair kit, followed the instructional video to a 't'. No improvement. Changed the batteries again, just in case. Nada. Luckily it wasn't expensive, so I feel the gamble was worth the expense. There wasn't much dirt, oil, residue, etc inside my remote, although cleaning it made me feel like I accomplished something. And I didn't break any of the plastic latches, so the hippocratic oath was upheld (do no harm). If the previous reviews are all legit, then it probably works in other cases. But I just can't testify that it does. I genuinely hope people get their remotes working good again! This repair kit worked perfectly to fix them. To make the repair, simply clean the remote circuit board with alcohol or lighter fluid. Using the repair kit, cut a contact dot out leaving some area around the dot slightly larger than the dot itself. A small square cut works just fine. Peel the adhesive off the dot and place over the circuit board contacts and press down to adhere. I installed dots over all circuit board contacts on the remotes. All of the remotes now work as good or better than when new. Super happy with the results. It was to the point where some of the buttons did not work at all and others you needed all your might to activate. These remotes are also from older Bose systems, so finding a used one may likely have this same issue. Enter Bose remote control button repair kit. Super easy to install. The new number pads rest between the modeled rubber buttons and the circuit board below. The kit just sandwiches between them. It took me just a few minutes and my remote works again! The hardest part is actually prying the remote unit open, had to watch the YouTube video a few times to observe the technique. Installation is super easy and the remote seems to be working as new again. This could have saved me the cost of buying that replacement remote. When we found this repair kit, we thought why not try it.AYBAR-GALLERY.COM/userfiles/files/calibra-haynes-manual-download.pdf While we were hesitant and have no experience when it comes to these sort of these things, we just watched the video and went for it. It turned out to be very easy and worked perfectly. I think this is the best product I’ve ever bought on Amazon and definitely worth the money. I highly recommend this product. It takes a little doing to open up the remote, clean it and install the board, but it is doable. There is an excellent video on Youtube that guides you through the process. The hardest part was to get the remote open. You had to push the buttons hard and hold them down to adjust the volume. When I opened it up for the first time there was a gooey liquid inside. I used plenty of rubbing alcohol pads and cleaned it up. Installed this kit and it works great now. There is a video on u-tube to show you how to open it up correctly.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Sorry, we failed to record your vote. MyURemote is the ideal replacement when the original lifestyle remote does not work anymore. Physcial connection If a wired connection is not possible you may use a WiFi model for example WF2SL. Click here if you need more information how to configure the wireless controllers of Global Cache Here is the Bose lifestyle the amplifier and the IR-controller. Therefore you select as Input device always the TAB’s amplifier (In our example this is “Bose zone Living room”. See text in orange here above) The Itach has the following IP address in my network: 192.168.15.41) I powered on the Bose and TV via the physical remote control, and then tried the app.I have the Bose system in a comm closet so IR doesn’t work through line of sight with the OEM remote. Will the GC100 controller work the same way (needs line of sight)? So it is only necessary to use a GC100 if you also want to control other IR devices with MyURemote. GC100 an of course IP control do not need line of sight. Once the app is running MyURemote will discover your Bose soundtouch devices. Note that you will have to install the latest software upgrade for the Bose lifestyle 600 and lifestyle 650 as the original API’s do not support HDMI control. I’m not yet using myURemote, but I’ve connected to the serial connection via an IP-to-Serial adapter and the appropriate cable. My original intention was to integrate the control of my AV38 into my homegrown home-automation system. Using puTTY I can issue commands to the AV38 and it responds appropriately. Will myURemote let me control the other rooms on the SA-3s without using any additional hardware (like an IR extender). I don’t want to buy the app without knowing it’s going to do what I want it to do. What ip to serial controller are you using at this moment? AV18 or AV28. AV18 consoles are compatible (AV28 are not!). You can find the model on the bottom of the console.Any suggestions on adding this functionality to MyURemote. The Fixed version taps into the two pins responsible for carrying fixed stream 2 audio (pins 3 and 4). The Variable version taps into pins that carry a variable version of stream 2 audio (pins 1 and 2). These variable outputs enable volume control via the Bose link expansion remote, but require the destination system to be set to maximum volume. Another disadvantage to using one of these adapters is that the expansion room will be restricted to stream 2 audio only since they never touch the stream 1 signal (pins 5 and 9) Help please, how can I do this? If so, myuremote discovered and added this automatically to your configuration. Open the zone configuration, assign the directv box to the input of your bose system and done. I use AL8 wireless between the the 2 systems. Will the myuremote work fine with that? I would like to replace the aging remote. Can you tell me if the set up you describe will work for the lifestyle 50. Thank you, Joe This will be “ser1” but you have to change this to “ser0”.So the config is Global Cache iTach WiFi connected using serial DB9-3.5mm. I can get the myuremote to work without the ground loop isolator connected (but I get the VS-2 not found message). When I connect the Ground loop isolator to both red and white, neither the VS-2 or the myuremote works. I have tried only connecting the isolator between either the red line, or the white line, but nothing works when the ground loop isolator is incorporated. Is it possible that I have a faulty NS-20 isolator, or is there a generic problem which I need to address. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks I configured it exactly as described and shown, it didn’t recognise the VS-2 or work (the system only worked when neither the VS-2 and the Isolator were connected). Then I tried other combinations where only the send line went through the ground loop isolator and another with only the receive line through the isolator. The Lifestyle 48 system loses connection with the VS-2 whenever the ground loop isolator is connected (even with nothing connected to it). It also loses communication with the VS-2 when the Global Cache serial adapter is connected. I have exactly the same equipment as shown except I am using a wifi to serial as opposed to an Ethernet to serial adapter. Any more help would be appreciated. I can’t pass the apple TV (music) to ZONE B when the main zone (zone A) isactive on another source. I must say I didn’t understand the explanation here-under. Did you fix it, and if so, how. Thanks, Wim I know Apple TV hase only HDMI out and SPDIF, so you have to use a DAC (digital to Analog convertor) when you want to listen to Apple TV in the other rooms, different than the main. Apple Airport express has a digital and analog out. I have it operating in the shop with the internet. Can I now take it to the boat where it will no longer be on the internet. The app on the iPad appeared to become unresponsive with no internet when I tried it at the shop. I am assuming it wants to be connected with the cloud at all times. Can it operate without the cloud, once setup? Merci. I would like to continue to use the SA3 amps but need help controlling their zones now that the BOSE PMCII remotes are incompatible. Can I use your product to control my SA3 Zones and if so what equipment do I need. Thank you for your response. Doug Allen You’ll also get live status feedback of every zone. Other end of the mini-jack splietter must be connected directly to VS2. We did the test: See movie. After testing: Only the SEND signal must be isolated. Else you can’t receive volume and RDS feedback. Thanks Ernesto So the whole setup is controlled with one GUI, one app, one remote. The ideal alternative for the obsolete SA2 and SA3. So you can access analog, digital and streaming sources. Great app guys!!! I had expanded the 48 System to power outside speakers via Boselink cable (ugly but effective when wire,ESA Bose link did not work). I went to update the link to the new 525 system and was told by Bose support that the new 525 media center is not expandable to the SA-3 with Boselink. Oh no, that is disappointing. I just lost use of my remote speakers. Anybody else have this problem and fixes. Is it time to ditch the all powerful SA-3 amp. I will miss the 100w per channel. I have a Bose V35 set up as the main unit through an ITach WF2SL and it works really well. Where i am having the issues is that i have an SA3 also connected to the V35 for speakers outside of which i have not been able to get to work to date.Do I really need both cables. Flex and the serial to minijack cables?
