The True Story of True Love

The True Story of Love

I want to share with all my friends and the world a story of love. This is a true story. This story is about an unconditional love. But before I get into the story, I want all of you who have children to think about how much you love your children. Think about what you would do for your children to protect them from harm. Think about whether or not you could stand by and watch as your child was tortured. Think about if you would be able to contain yourself, even for a moment if your child were being beat on his bare back with a whip that tore his flesh from his back with each blow. Think about that whip that had nine tails embedded with bone and metal designed to rip flesh with each blow. Think about as you watched your son being beat, the flesh was torn from his back from so many blows that his bone became visible and the loss of blood was great. Would you die trying to stop the torture? Now think about what would happen if you had the power to destroy all of the people who had anything to do with the torture of your son. Would you do it? What would it take for you to stand idly by and watch as this took place? How much more would you have to love someone else who would benefit for the torture?

That is exactly what happened when The Lord, God, watched as He stood by and His son was tortured. He stood by and watched as His son was nailed to a cross. Of course, he knew what was to come, but how much did He love us to allow for His Son to be tortured so much. Jesus came to earth as a man. He felt all the same temptations that we feel. He felt pain just like we did. During this whole ordeal, at any time, all He had to do was ask for help. There were 6 legions of angels at the ready who would have destroy everyone who had anything to do with harming the only man to walk the earth perfectly sinless, the only man who never hurt a soul and only helped everyone who needed it, even though they did not deserve it. That means they would have destroyed everyone who shouted “Crucify him.” to Pontious Pilot. They would have destroyed every soldier who lifted a hand against Jesus. They would have destroyed the Jewish priests who conspired to kill Him. All would have been gone and the suffering Jesus was experiencing would have ended.

But God so loved the world, He gave His only son to suffer for us the ills of the world. He had to be broken, to become a curse for us, so that we no longer had to be cursed. He had to take our pain, so we no longer had to feel pain. He had to take our affliction, so we no longer had to be afflicted. He paid the price so that we no longer had to.

It all goes back to when sin was introduce to the world. Before the fall of man caused by Adam and Eve. Man was never meant to die. God created man to be a companion to Him in His own image. Man was to live like the angels forever. But sin kills all. It destroys. Yes, it is true, if there was no sin, there would be no suffering, no death. So God had to come up with a way to give eternal life back to His creation, living man. Before Jesus, man had to make sacrifices of lambs and calves every year. The sacrifices did not exonerate them. It just covered their sin for the year. Anyone who has read the book of Leviticus knows how tedious it was. So God gave His own son to bear the weight. He gave His own Son to be a sacrifice for us. His blood was shed. The blood of the only man who was without sin was shed as a sacrifice to the world to give them an opportunity to regain that eternal life. Think about that. God loves you and me so much, He allowed His only son to be sacrificed so that you would not have to suffer on earth or die for all eternity.

That is the true, unconditional love of a real dad. That is how a real God loves his children. The Lord knew what the outcome would be, but He still had to allow for His own son to suffer a torment that most people have never even seen. Some people believe falsely that Jesus got 39 lashes. That is not true. The 39 lashes was what the Jews did, because under Jewish law, 40 lashes was the most lashes that could be given and if he who delivered the lashes miscounted and delivered 41, then he who was being whipped could whip he who was doing the whipping. So they would do 39 lashes just to make sure hey did not go over. The Romans had no such limit. They would whip so long that sometimes the victim died from the whipping. They would beat the victims long so that they would die sooner on the cross when they were crucified.

So what did we gain from the suffering of Jesus. Some people think we just gained eternal life. Ah, but we gained so much more. When Jesus was whipped, He took our affliction. He made it so that all we had to do was to believe and we were healed. People are healed already and all they have to do is receive this blessing. Contrary to popular belief, when someone does not believe, he can still be healed if only a believer, a true believer would lay his hands on the sick and afflicted. As Jesus said in Mark 16:17,18. “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

This isn’t some thing that passed away. It is here today and people are healed every single day. I have seen it with my own eyes.

So the next time you sit and look at your child no matter what his age, you think about what God gave up for you. Think about what Jesus suffered for you. Think about whether or not you would be able to watch your son or daughter suffer the torment that Jesus suffered, even if you did know he would be ok after it was all done. Then if you have not taken Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, just get down on your knees and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart. You would be amazed with what happens to you after you do this. Fears fall away. Concerns fall away. And when you actually stopped being concerned about how you will pay your bills, you will have all you need to prosper. Just like any good dad would do, our Dad does take care of us and all we have to do is believe and it is given to us.

One more thing then I will end this story of love. Jesus said something that was so important that he wanted to drill it into us during the approximately twelve hours between the last supper and when he was taken. He said four times that if we ask anything in His name, it would be given unto us. So all you have to do is ask and believe and it is yours. The belief is what kills most peoples’ dreams.

So remember who loves you. I love all of you no matter what your beliefs may be. I want to see all of you prosper and suffer no pain. May God the Father bless all of you who read this and may you all be healed in Jesus’ name.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
