What Christians, Jews, Buddhists, and Muslims have in common?

The Theory of Evolution.

I just read an opinion delivered by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and it struck me that Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Buddhist have something in common. They are fighting the statists who deny their children's ability to pray in school, and the teaching of evolution. It seems to me that since they have this in common, they should come together in the support of the privatization of public schools.

The theory of evolution is after all a theory, but those who fight so fervently in favor of its being taught in public schools, do so as fervently as any other religious fanatic. Hmm, maybe evolution should be looked at as any other religion. After all what is religion if not the worship of an idea. In this case, the object of the worship is Darwin. In the hundred years that Darwinists have been pushing the theory, they have still not proven it to be fact. Why isn't the theory of creationism being taught in schools. Why does their theory get more government support than the religious theory and why hasn't anyone sued to stop the teaching of the theory of evolution on these grounds?

There are hundreds of scientific theories available from scientists at any given time. Why is it so important to teach this one in schools. School boards should have the right to decide which theories will be taught if any. Maybe we should be teaching the theory of time travel instead. That would be more useful (potentially) than the theory of evolution. Children should be taught what can be proven as fact, not theory anyway. The fact is, fact has more usable substance than theory any day of the week.

The time has long come for the religious right to stop trying to change the school system and start doing what most responsible parents should be doing, and that is taking responsibility for your child's education instead of supporting a system the extorts funds from the masses to teach your children. If the government does not have the responsibility of teaching your children, they cannot tell you what your children will learn. When you consider what you will pay for competing private schools over the course of your children's education to what you will pay into the school system over your lifetime, you will see the expense of educating your children in private schools is far less. Imagine the peace of mind of knowing that your children will only be taught what you approve.

People of faith, whatever faith, tend to be generous to their respective churches. Just imagine what could happen if every single person who believes in a Deity, contributed just $5 to a legal fund to pay for the fight against tax payer funded, government run schools. Since approximately 75% of Americans are "religious", that would provide literally millions of dollars to go towards the fight. We would be sure to win. Won't you join the fight?
