Step 1 Stand the UFS-20 base on the floor with the short end facing you. Unscrew the locking nut from the bottom of the stand’s base with your fingers. Run the end of the speaker cable through the bottom of the base. Run the speaker wire through the bottom of the speaker stand and out of the bent top. Step 2 Insert the straight end of the speaker stand into the hole in the base. Screw the speaker stand into the base by rotating it with your hands. Stop screwing the stand into the base when the bent end at the top of the speaker stand is facing away from you. Step 3 Place the locking nut over the end of the speaker stand that is poking through the bottom of the base. Screw the locking nut back on with your fingers. Tighten the nut with pliers. Step 4 Connect the “Plus” and “Minus” labeled speaker wires on the speaker cable to the matching connections on the back of the Bose speaker. Place the back of the Bose speaker against the speaker plate at the top of the UFS-20. Tighten the locking screws on the back of the speaker plate to secure it to the Bose speaker -- use a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat this entire procedure with the other UFS-20 speaker stand. Highly recommend.The directions are pictures only and do not show how to use them with these speakers. You need the correct back plate to go with these speakers and this model does NOT come with them. You need to call Bose and have them send you the correct brackets that are compatible with these speakers. Also, you need to 'click' in the backplate to make it secure. The directions do not show that either. I finally got it together using the wrong plates, it does work but puts un-needed stress on the wiring into the speaker. I'm waiting for the correct brackets to show up, but in the meantime I have it working. Having said all that, the stands are sturdy and stylish and have a 'canal' down the back of them to hide the wire. They take up virtually no real estate space and tuck your wires up and out of the way with their clever design. For aesthetics alone these are great but they also compliment the 5.1 soundbar system flawlessly. One thing I will say is like anything you will have to pay very close attention when setting these up. Read your instructions and make sure you have the right bracket ahead of time. Please try again Ich habe lange uberlegt ob ich die Bose Stander kaufen soll oder nicht, der Preis ist nicht ohne. Ich habe auch versucht auf die Universal-Stander zuruckzugreifen, aber nichts gefunden was mich wirklich uberzeugt hat. Zumindest wurde ich nicht enttauscht. Die Bodenplatten der Stander sind sehr massiv, das bringt einen guten Stand. Es sind auch jeweils vier Filz-Gleiter beigelegt, die an den Bodenplatten angeklebt werden konnen, so bleibt auch der Fliesenboden heil. Ansonsten durchdachtes System, die Kabel konnen nicht sichtbar verlegt werden. Die Lautsprecher (Surround Speaker) haben ja keine Gewindebohrung, daher ist der passende Adapter beigelegt.
