Following this information you will find a section that describes how to set up the amplifier with your particular home entertainment system. Page 25 Setting Up Additional Rooms For Sound Setting up the amplifier room code The room code of the amplifier must match the room code of the remote used in the room where the speakers are installed. The amplifier, which is designed only for indoor use, may become dusty over time. To clean the amplifier, use only a soft, dry cloth to remove dust from the outside of the enclosure. You may use a brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner to clean the hard-to-reach areas. DO NOT use any solvents, chemicals, or cleaning solutions containing alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives. The SA3 has a dip switch for local source auto select (I think it is switch C). However there is a problem, you have no way of setting the volume. At most you can set the line level volume going into the SA3 by using a variable audio source (phone, laptop, etc) but this does not affect the final volume of the speakers. All you are doing is adjusting gain on the input, not the output. So yes, but actually no. If I knew the expected resistance range, I could just permanently set it to 50 or something. While it is common to place a potentiometer on the output stage, the SA3 doesn’t do that. What I can’t tell you however is what the default power output on the output stage after a power cycle.
